Welcome and Blessings!

Thank you so much for stopping by! I have named this blog "Running to the Cross" because that is what I often find myself doing...running to be with my Lord Jesus! I often cover many aspects of life on my blog, as it is my journal. I used to write things down in all sorts of notebooks, but my writings would soon be lost. So I decided that it was time to start a blog and share my thoughts and ideas with others. Many topics you will find here are prayers, homemaking and organization, children and pregnancy, funny stories, and the challenges of parenting and motherhood. If you enjoy my blog and leave me a comment, you are likely to have me visit! I love meeting others and gleaning from the lives of others. May you be blessed! Your friend in Christ, Heather

Urgent Prayer Request

I just received a phone call from my mother and she had some devastating news. My cousin and his wife were expecting twins, two weeks after me, and she called to tell me that my cousin's wife went into labor and delivered the twins last night. However, at 20 weeks, the twins were too small to survive. Now instead of planning for the expected arrival of twins, they are planning funerals. Please pray for them as they cope with the loss of their baby boys.

Also, my brother and his wife are expecting twins (two weeks after me as well). My sister-in-law's parents are both dying with cancer. This has been a devastating blow for my SIL as she only has known of her mother's cancer for about 2 weeks. And to top it all off, my brother just lost his job...all prayers are greatly coveted right now.

Prayerfully & Tearfully,
Heather

Oh, both of these families certainly do need prayer. I'll remember them!

I can't imagine why so much would happen all at once, but God does, and he is sovriegn and faithful.

Praying.
