An Ode to Cleanliness
Dirty dishes, dirty floors,
Dirty windows, dirty doors,
Smelly trashcans and dirty clothes,
Stinky washclothes that bother my nose!
Crowded cabinets and overfilled drawers,
Cluttered spaces and broken doors,
Too many shoes and too many toys,
Too many clothes for my girls and boys.
All these things make sad spaces,
And unhappy children with sour faces.
Willing helpers are what I need,
No need for want, no need for greed.
Smiling faces to brighten the place,
And speeding hands to clean the space.
To make it cheery and not dreary,
To make my sad heart glad again.
Oh, the great joy of a tidy place,
That visitors are welcome to grace.
With laughing hearts and joyful faces,
And kindred spirits to fill the spaces.
So tidy up and you will find,
The happiness that you left behind.
For clutter will be a thing of the past,
And you will be finally at last,
A joyful soul, a jolly lad,
A happy spirit that's sure to last,
With clutter gone and order in place,
The family finally has a cheery space!

- Refocus...spend time in Scripture and Prayer.
- Make dinner.
- Clean Living room & vacuum.
- Fold all clean laundry & put away.
- Sort laundry on bathroom floor in baskets.
- Clean kid's living room & vacuum.
- Load & run dishwasher.
- Sweep kitchen floor.

Just Born.....
Our new big sister, now 2 years old.
What's for Dinner?
- Monday: Lasagna, green beans, heat & serve rolls.
- Tuesday: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans or corn, heat & serve rolls.
- Wednesday: Oriental Chicken Casserole, raw veggies.
- Thursday: Spaghetti & Meatballs or Meatball sandwiches,veggie.
- Friday: Pizza/or Stromboli & salad.
- Saturday: Steak, baked potatoes & salad.
- Sunday: Crockpot Roast, gravy, potatoes, carrots, green beans, rolls.
Daily To Do List
- Read Bible (going through Exodus).
- Unload dishwasher (children).
- Load & run dishwasher.
- Homeschool.
- Wash 2-4 loads of laundry.
- Fold laundry & put away.
- Quick as a flash, floor pick up. (children)
- Sweep all floors, tile & hardwood floors throughout the house.
- Dust mop & wet mop floors regularly to keep baby girl's clothes cleaner.
- Dinner Prep.
Cleaning and Organization
Cleaning Goals
- Clean, clean, clean!!! Get things back in order.
- Clean mudroom...the first room you see upon entering my home.
- Clean hallway/stairway & closets in that area.
- Keep Kitchen counters clutter free.
- Plan Garden... I am loving the late season squash & lettuce!
- Free surfaces downstairs from clutter.
- Keep the washer & dryer running.
- Keep a menu...it makes a huge difference!
- Clean master bedroom.
- Organize linen closet.
- Sew dresses for girls...got the fabric, just need to find the time!

Wow... beautiful photos. The sky and sunset photos remind me of New Mexico.
It's funny that you posted on clouds because this morning during my quiet time I looked out my front window as I pondered, and I was led to think about all of the different moods of the sky, why, as I watched, the sky above my home went through as many changes as a woman with a walk in closet of clothes! Right before my eyes! It was really beautiful.
And your flowers are stunning, you must have a really good camera...
Here's another "you know you're a mom to several kids when" post....You know you're a mom to 6 kids when you almost walk out of the house to go somewhere and your 10 year old daughter says, uh Mama, you still have your apron on!
